Inside Line Promotions – FRESNO, Calif. (Oct. 9, 2018) – Giovanni Scelzi is scheduled to make his final starts of the season in the Midwest this weekend.

Scelzi and car owner Bernie Stuebgen will race on Saturday at Terre Haute Action Track in Terre Haute, Ind., during the Wabash Clash and on Sunday at Eldora Speedway near Rossburg, Ohio, during the Last Call for Them All with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series.

Saturday will mark Scelzi’s debut at Terre Haute Action Track, which is a big oval that he has raced on only in a video game.

“It’s massive,” he said. “The Outlaws ran there in 2014 and I saw that video. Other than that I haven’t seen much.”

Sunday will be Scelzi’s seventh career start at Eldora Speedway. He posted an eighth-place run during his debut in June. Scelzi then made the A Main during both preliminary nights of the Kings Royal in July. He followed that up by setting quick time in his group during World of Outlaws qualifying last month. And his most recent start was capped by a charge to a third-place finish during an Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions race.

“I feel like I’ve got better each time I’ve raced at Eldora Speedway,” he said. “It can be a really tricky track and momentum is huge there. Hopefully we can put together consistent laps and we can continue to learn.”

Following this weekend Scelzi will drive a family car during the famed 25 th annual Trophy Cup at Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, Calif., Oct. 18-20.
